Visiting New Beginnings
Visiting any church for the very first time can be a tough experience. Well, we want to put you at ease. Your first visit to New Beginnings will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and “at home”! Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.
When are your services? Sundays at 9 am, we begin with various Growth Groups (all ages). Our Growth Groups are a time of Bible study for all ages. Following this is our main worship service at 10:15 am. Our Sunday evening service is at 5 pm.
All Sunday services are back to in person meetings at Mango State School. Due to the new QLD Covid-19 restrictions, all attending services age 12 and over without a medical exemption are required to wear a face mask. This will be adjusted to remain in line with the current restrictions as they change.
Wednesday evenings at 7 pm, we meet for a time of Bible study, fellowship, sharing prayer requests and praises, and then close by spending time in our prayer groups praying over the requests.
At this time, our Wednesday night prayer meeting and Bible study are taking place via Zoom. Please contact us for an invitation link.
How do I get to New Beginnings?
We are meeting at the Mango Hill State School on Bonnet Parade in Mango Hill. Driving directions from Anzac Ave: Entry to the school is via Bonnet Parade (near Topaz Dr). From Anzac Ave turn into Kinsellas Road East. Go over the new railway bridge. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit from the round-about into Mango Hill Boulevard. Turn first left into Bonnet Parade which leads directly into the school.
When entering the school property, you can park in 1 of 2 car parks in front of the school. Once you get out of your car, there is a walkway between car park 1 and car park 2 that leads to the main entrance of the school. Simply follow our signs to get to the church. We meet in the Hall or “H” block.
We are also close to the Anzac Ave exit on the M1.
What can I expect on my first visit?
As you enter the school property, you will be greeted by our friendly greeters who are able to direct you and answer any questions you may have. During this service, you will enjoy beautiful and inspiring music. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message.
Where do I take my children?
On Sunday mornings, there is something special for every child. We have a safe and clean nursery for children three years old and under, which is run by highly qualified leaders. For children three years old through to thirteen, there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centred classes. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child. Our friendly ushers are located in the main foyer and will gladly help direct you to the right place.
How should I dress?
There is not a dress code at New Beginnings Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at New Beginnings.
Am I expected to participate in the offering?
No. We don’t invite you to New Beginnings for your offering. We want our service to be a gift for you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest. Currently, our offerings are received through donations boxes on the welcome table.
Do I need to pre-register to attend your services?
No. At this point, we have not reached our capacity for the building that we hire. When you do attend, please register at the welcome table so we have a contact record in our COVID contact tracing records. To assist with social distancing, we have seats set aside by the family name of each family that regularly attend and other seats set apart for visitors. So, whether it is your first time attending or your first time in a long time, we have a seat saved for you!
Other questions… If there’s something we missed on this list, just give us a call, or ask someone when you arrive. Whether you’re new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it’s been a long time since you’ve attended church at all, we hope your first visit at New Beginnings will be uplifting.
